This bed is advertised as helping older dogs with joint issues. It is available in 4 sizes. I chose the larger size for my Labrador, the larger size is perfect for him.
Mac was not an older dog when I bought the bed, but he had some joint issues that caused him to be stiff and sore especially after a lie down. I needed a bed that would be comfortable and also help his stiff joints.
The cost of these beds varied, they all cost more than the beds I normally bought, after some consideration I chose this one as it was not too expensive and it also looked good.
It boasts a thick memory foam mattress which is designed to conform to your dogs body shape. The memory foam mattress is said to be beneficial in relieving pressure on the joints and spine. I bought this bed over a year ago, and the mattress is still as firm now as it was when first purchased.
My dog Mac loves it.
The bed has a low entrance height, another bonus, and it has an extra high border for your dog to lean on. I thought the border was purely ascetic but I quickly realised Mac got benefit from it as he is often seen to be using it as a pillow to support his head.
The cover is washable. I find it easy to remove and easy to wash. The cover goes on easily too. Another bonus is it dries quickly. It also has a cosy top layer cover that stays in place with Velcro.
I tried many beds before buying this one. Mostly the beds would become soft and lumpy in places and would need to be replaced regularly. This was definitely more expensive than others but in my and Macs opinion, it is well worth every penny.
